The perfect opportunity to do your holiday shopping locally.
What is the Holiday Village?
The Downtown Hearst BIA, the Conseil des Arts de Hearst, the Ladies’ Auxiliary - Royal Canadian Legion and the municipality are working together as partners in this second edition of the Holiday Village to encourage buying local and to entice the community to explore our wonderful town.
An event not to be missed:
two traditions, a contest and several family activities.
Winter Fair
This weekend event is dedicated to Northern Ontario artists and artisans that make gifts, decorations, various handmade articles and yummy treats by allowing them to sell their products in a festive and convivial atmosphere, just in time for the holiday season!
HOURS
Saturday 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Sunday 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Midnight Madness
For many years now, the Downtown Hearst BIA has been hosting the Midnight Madness shopping event. During the evening of December 1st, businesses stay open till midnight (or earlier, according to their own schedule) to kick off local holiday shopping.
Light Up Hearst
This contest is back for a second edition, from November 15 to December 15! We invite the community to light up the exterior of their home or business for the 2023 holiday season. For the occasion, there will be prizes to be won. Be sure to follow the rules to be eligible.
The Village Trek
During the festival, visit all the places identified on the map in the event’s brochure to have them stamped. When all the stamps have been collected, bring your map to ADYMRE’s Hair Salon for a chance to win (1) a $500 gift certificate to spend at any BIA merchant and (2) a pair of tickets for the Sam Breton show. We will announce the winners on Friday, December 1, at 11:59 p.m.
